  • Week 7 Update & Announcements

I hope everyone had a great weekend off.  We are have reached the halfway point of the marching band season and are a week and a half away from our stadium rehearsal leading up to the beginning of the competitive season.

I had a great weekend evaluating bands in the Midwest.  I saw some very inspiring things from a few groups in Missouri.  I was happy to learn we have very talented and dedicated students.  I was also happy to learn how we can be better.  This has been a fantastic start to the school year and I look forward to completing our field show in the next few weeks so we can shift from learning mode to pursuing absolute excellence mode shortly.  It begins with consistent determination and drive to rehearse at the highest level as a group rather than individuals.  I have seen improvement in that regards this year and I look forward to moving the needle even more.

Parents, please begin to prepare for the next seven weeks.  We have three large events coming up that will require much help.  Be on the lookout next week for information about GSTOB and WBA Championships volunteers.  These two events last year raised over $10,000 for the band.

Bronco Star of the Week

Congratulations to Asher Taylor for being named our Bronco Star of the Week for Week 6!

Asher has been a solid contributor of great sound on the field.

Many of the student leadership team see him as being the most responsible new member in the band.

Keep up the great work, Asher!
