I had a great weekend in Sacramento at our California All-State Music Educators Conference.  I was first able to celebrate our amazing choir director, Mrs. Heather Bisho,p as she received the California Choir Directors Association Director of the Year award.  Then I got to watch two Clovis North alumni, Jack Lawrence and Jordan DeLatorre, sound amazing performing with the Fresno State Jazz Ensemble in concert.  This was followed up with what might be the best high school jazz

We are in our second week of the new semester and things have started out really well. Congratulations to all the students who participated in the FMCMEA Honor Band and Orchestra last weekend. They were two very good concerts. Great work! This week we will celebrate the 7 students who are participating in our ALL-State Bands and Orchestras!

Congratulations on two outstanding performances last week.  Our winter concert was well attended, the groups played well for the few number of rehearsals we had, we shared the stage with some great family, friends, and alumni.  I hope we brought some holiday cheer to all of you.  Thanks for your attendance.

Welcome back!  I hope everyone had a restful Thanksgiving Holiday.  We have lots to be thankful for. Congratulations to everyone on our Marching Band season. I would like to sincerely thank all the staff members of the Bronco Band.  They really worked hard this season to bring the best version of our students as performers.

It’s CHAMPIONSHIPS WEEK!!!!! Well, here we are.  We have worked tremendously hard over the last 16 weeks and are preparing for the last week of competition. This has been a season of learning.  We have faced various challenges, including illness, injury, and inclement weather.  Through all of that, we have a great group of students and staff who have worked together to craft something artistic that we should be proud of. 

I hope everyone enjoyed their longer weekend.  Two weeks till Championships.  I hope you will all be around to support our students these last two weeks before Thanksgiving break.    We have a full band scheduled rehearsal tomorrow night, followed by WBA Central Regional Championships at Kingsburg HS. - Note: rehearsal on Saturday morning will be at Buchanan High School in the stadium. We have just completed a busy and successful week of performances! Our talented students and dedicated staff delivered three very consistent performances on the field, showing remarkable growth and improvement. It was also a fantastic evening at the CUSD Band Day, topped off by our football team's thrilling final regular-season win!

Congratulations on another exciting weekend at the Golden State Tournament of Bands.  A large thank you to the parent volunteers who helped make that event a success, not just for our students but for the Clovis Community and other participating bands.

We have three exciting events this week. The first is our Fall Concert… TONIGHT!!!! Please join us beginning around 4:30 for food trucks outside the concert hall. Our concert will begin tonight at 7 pm. If you were one of the families who pledged $500.00 or more and we received the full donation by August 29, you will have complimentary tickets to the concert this evening. Your name will be on a list at the table in the lobby.

Two great events this week:   Football game at Lamonica Stadium vs. Clovis HS.  We will perform pregame with Clovis HS, then play in the stands to root on our Broncos. Stadium rehearsal on Saturday!  Come out and see the first full run-through of the show.  This is open to the public.  Please arrive at VMS between 8 and 8:15 pm.  We will do our first full run around 8:30 pm.  It is a great opportunity to see the first performance.  This will allow you to see the tra

This week, we begin the last third of the field show.  Along with a football game/Homecoming, and rehearsal this Saturday.  Things are moving along, and we are beginning to learn a bit quicker.  The attitude of the students is still very positive and motivational.  We need everyone to dig in and get super committed to learning their music so they can be positive contributors to their sections and to the entire ensemble.

Good Afternoon.  We are in week 5 of school and have about half of the field show on the field.  We are looking forward to learning the ballad tonight during rehearsal.  This Friday will be our first football game since the first week of school.  We will now be performing almost once a week.  This week our football game will be a home game where we will perform pregame and then over half of our field show during halftime.

We have some drill, music, and color guard choreography on the field!!! The learning curve has been great and students are beginning to understand what it is going to take to pull off a successful 2025 fall production.
