From the Director’s Desk
Congratulations on two outstanding performances last week. Our winter concert was well attended, the groups played well for the few number of rehearsals we had, we shared the stage with some great family, friends, and alumni. I hope we brought some holiday cheer to all of you. Thanks for your attendance.
Then, the band stayed warm marching down the streets of Old Town Clovis to a great community audience at the Children's Electric parade on Saturday.
This week we begin learning new music we will be performing during our Concert Band Festivals in Feb. and March. The music will once again require students to do some consistent work on their own outside of school (like homework) for us to meet our full potential.
Saturday is the Fresno Madera Counties Music Educators Association Honor Band and Orchestra Auditions. We have 57 high school students and 35 middle school students auditioning at Sanger West High School. This week, I will be listening to all the high school students performing their audition in front of the class, to get some of the nerves out and give them one more run through before the real deal. Good luck to all of our Broncos this Saturday!
