Winter Percussion
Percussion is working hard preparing both concert band music for festival as well as preparing for the first indoor percussion competition next Saturday. Look for an email today regarding what clothing needs to be purchased to go along with the tops that the program has already purchased as well as our pit crew needs for the first competition.
Color Guard
The Varsity Guard has completed all of their drill and a majority of the work in their winter guard production. We are excited about that. It is the most prepared they have been leading up to the first show.
The floor will be delivered any day. Flags, any day. Costumes just a few weeks away. Things are looking good.
We are excited to have for only the second time in school history a Junior Varsity Winter Guard. This experience will allow a select group of students the chance to stand out and be soloists in a group that will help them expand their vocabulary and performance techniques.
We can’t wait to see all indoor pageantry groups first performance next weekend at Clovis West.
Performance schedule can be found at www.sjvcgpr.org or wgasc.org
Little Broncos
We are happy to be rebooting our elementary color guard, LITTLE BROCOS. Please see flyer and share with any Clovis North Area Elementary student you may feel is interested.
US ARMY FIELD BAND CONCERT
We are very fortunate to have the US Army Field Band from Washington DC stop in Fresno and play a concert in our concert hall on Saturday February 21 in the Concert Hall. Please see information to procure tickets. It will be required for Wind Ensemble students to attend this event. Tickets are free. This is one of the premiere wind bands in the United States. You won’t want to miss this.
Crab Feed

Crab feed is in the preparation stages. This fantastic event will be held on Saturday March 14. Be on the lookout for ticket information and ways to volunteer and help out for this fundraiser.
Chocolate Bar Candy Sales
Will begin in just a few weeks. There has been an increase to the cost of the candy bar. They are now $2.00 per bar with each box containing 50 candy bars instead of 60. We can raise a ton of funds for the band as well as our indoor programs with this fundraiser.

Have a great week!
David Lesser, Director of Bands
